How can we help?
Most answers are below. If yours isn't, write to us. We reply within two days.

Tell us your iPhone model and iOS version. Writing from the app (Settings › Support › Contact us) adds them for you.
Using SoftSun
Why is the UV different from my weather app?
Most weather apps show the day's peak on a clear sky. We show the UV right now, clouds included.
Why did my minutes change?
Minutes follow the UV, so clouds and the sun's height move them. Skin type, sunscreen and shade do too. The Until sunburn sheet in the app shows what's counted.
Notifications are not arriving
Check Settings › Notifications in SoftSun and iOS Settings › SoftSun › Notifications. The morning brief only comes on days with UV 3 or more, and not when the forecast is out of date. Focus modes can hold them back too.
Widgets are not updating
Widgets refresh from the app's last data every 30 minutes in daylight. Open the app once, and check that Background App Refresh is on in iOS Settings.
How do I add a widget?
Long-press your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for SoftSun. For the Lock Screen, long-press it, tap Customise, then the widget row.
Pro and purchases
I bought Pro but the app says Free
In SoftSun, go to Settings › Subscription › Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.
How do I cancel?
In SoftSun, go to Settings › Subscription › Manage subscription, or in iOS Settings tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least a day before it renews. Lifetime is paid once and never renews.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments, so refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t see your card or issue refunds ourselves.
Your data
Where is my data kept?
Your skin type, sessions, places and photos stay on your iPhone. There is no account. The privacy policy has the details.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app, and everything it kept on your iPhone goes with it. To erase the anonymous IDs used for purchases and usage stats, email [email protected].
Health
Is SoftSun medical advice?
No. Minutes are an estimate from the UV, your skin type and your sunscreen. Skin reacts differently, and some medicines make it burn faster. If you are worried about a burn, a mole or a rash, see a doctor.
